This is a house with history

This beautiful and unique duplex was built in 1955 by the grandparents of the current owners, who met in La Viñuela (place where the grandmother lived). His grandfather, a great sportsman, was riding his bike around that area and was pampered by a beautiful, brown-eyed Malaga woman named Carmela. Upon seeing Carlos she fell love at first sight.

With the Spanish civil war in between, Carlos had to go to war and Carmela had to flee with all her family to France. Despite being separate for a while without seeing each other, Carlos did not hesitate to get in contact with Carmela and asked her to return to Spain and to start a life together. Carmela did not think twice and left her family in France to return to Malaga with her beloved Carlos.

After several years of marriage they decided that they wanted to have a house where Carlos could work and at the same time be close to his Carmela, this is why they decided to build the house where this beautiful apartment is located.

The apartment is divided into two parts. The top is where they lived and the bottom was where Carlos had his carpentry business, which was of prestige in Malaga.

The Grandma’s House is born in honor of grandmother Carmela, since this apartment was created by and for her, being always known, by the current owners, as “The house of the grandmother”.
